The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a great choice if you're looking for a robotic vacuum and mop that is mid-range. It's a great mopping performance but lacks some of the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.
In tests, it was able to take on dry oats and dust on medium-pile carpet and pet hair on hard floors. It doesn't employ LIDAR, however, as cheaper models do to map your home.
Roomba s9+ from iRobot
The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It is loaded with features and impressive cleaning power, including an area for dirt that is integrated into the charging base. This robot can also learn your habits of cleaning and suggest schedules that are automatic for a truly hands-free experience.
The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once the system is in place, you can start automatic cleaning with a single button click. You can select an overall clean that emphasizes cleaning up larger debris like cereal and rice or go for two thorough maps of your home to ensure that your entire home is properly arranged.
This vacuum works well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It can remove pet hair and also suck large objects up. It doesn't lose suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpet, but iRobot promises it will improve with the next models.
The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that focuses on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that adopts flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes this will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's an improvement over the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are common however we found it only marginally superior to circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with superior filtration which blocks micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating in your home. It's a nice claim however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the high price price.
Its smart navigation system uses sensors to store the arrangement of your home and vSLAM for mapping the interior of your home. It can then clean your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundary markers so that the robot knows what areas require extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those found on more expensive models. And its mopping system is better because its spinning pads scrub floors more efficiently than a vibrating pad.
The only drawback is that it does not have an additional rubber brush for deeper cleaning, but it's an acceptable price to pay if you want to get one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank on the robovac is larger than many of its competitors. Filling it up only takes two or three times, even when you've got the most dirt.
For the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest that are less abrasive than the more powerful ones, create very little noise, which allows you to work or watch TV without interruption. If it comes across a wall or furniture piece it gently bumps into it and moves on.
What distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost autonomously with very little need for user intervention. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that automatically transfers physical trash into the bin hidden in the background and washes and dry the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app will website only notify you when something is wrong for example, the water tank being empty or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to a full bin.
You can also combine or create actual rooms in order to alter the way Q Revo treats your home. This is an excellent feature to have if you have several areas of the home with different floor materials or if there's a lot of items that need to be cleaned out frequently, like clothes, toys, and books. The robot vacuum was also one of the best performers in my tests, picking up debris on carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first attempt. It can also remove wet spills, though I recommend cleaning them off with a cloth before sending the robot into.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a high-end robot vacuum and mop and more. It has a rotating mop and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It's similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with an auto-cleaning station that automatically washes and empties the mop pads to keep them fresh and ready for reuse. It also has a new sensor system that can better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to prevent falling over furniture and other objects.
The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS X1 Deebot is its modern, sleeker design. This is due to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still large--it is more than two feet in the height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds. However the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.
This version is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and cleans 1,500 square feet in a single charge. And it has a larger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris which makes it easier to empty when needed.
Finally lastly, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app as well as a voice assistant that works offline, so you can control it even when you're not home. It also has more mopping modes and a smart routing feature that gives it the flexibility to clean certain rooms or areas of your home instead simply following a predetermined path.
The X2 Omni is the most effective robot at mopping. Its rotating mop pads scrub away tough stains, and its motor produces lots of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also outstanding, and it also increases suction when it senses carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It also has a huge battery that can last for weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as powerful as any we've seen in an ordinary robot.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a high-end model that comes with a variety of features that aren't typically found on robots in this price range. It has the ability to create detailed floor maps, detect various flooring types and is among the few that can automatically wash and dry its mop pads. These features are nice, but they also push the L10s into the class of luxury. This might make it more expensive than homeowners need.
It is designed to look like a contemporary floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish that's highlighted by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine has an enormous bumper that shields the vacuum cleaner and furniture as you move around your home. Sensors are concealed behind the front pane, which help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button that serves as an on/off switch. This button will activate the vacuum. By pressing it again, you can turn it off and transmit it back to its base station. The center of the control panel includes an oblique menu that lets you select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons on the screen will bring up the app's settings menu where you can tweak the way that the L10s Ultra integrates with your home.
The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of cameras and LIDAR technology to map out your home. The LIDAR also assists the robot vacuum to recognize and avoid obstacles which is a great feature for families with pets or children.
The L10s Ultra provides solid vacuuming performance, clearing 98.4 percent of debris from our hard-floor test and removing all but the most stubborn juice stains. The mops are also efficient, removing 98.4% of debris on our wood, tile and carpet tests. However, it wasn't as efficient in dealing with sand on the hard floor and the quaker oats that are on carpet.
